Pink Dream - Smoothie

I had an idea for a sweet but yogurt-like smoothie and so I came up with this recipe. Not exactly like yogurt but sort of had a creamy yogurt taste to it. The texture for me came out perfect and the sweetness was just right. The below recipe serves about 3 people.

Ingredients - 3 Servings
10 oz Organic Frozen Mangoes
10 oz Organic Frozen Strawberries
1 Organic Orange
2 Organic Bananas (the riper the better)
1 Cup Water (more or less)

Toss frozen ingredients into blender first, followed by the bananas. Then juice your orange (I used a lemon squeezer) and add in the juice of the orange. Turn your blender on at low speed and slowly add the water in while raising up the speed of the blender, until all the water is in and the mixture is smooth. No sugar, no milk, just fruits. Enjoy!

Sweet N' Sour Smoothie

This morning I was in the mood for a smoothie and didn't have any bananas so I decided to juice up some oranges and lemon to use as my base for the smoothie which actually turned out to be a very delicious idea.

The mixture of juiced oranges and lemon imitated a grapefruit flavor but with a little more sweetness to it, so if you're ever craving grapefruit in your smoothie and you have some oranges and lemons, then no worries! This recipe I whipped up is very simple and tasty, hope you enjoy!

Ingredients
10 oz Organic Frozen Mangos
6-8 oz Organic Frozen Strawberries
2 Organic Oranges
1/2 Organic Lemon

Juice both the oranges and lemon in your juicer, leave the peel on for the lemon but peel off the orange peel because it can be very bitter. Toss juice into blender and add the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth. No sugar, no milk, just fruits! Enjoy!

Super Sweet Banana-Strawberry-Apple Juice Smoothie

It's finally spring time and although the weather hasn't been fabulous here in New York yet, I decided to whip up a new recipe for a super sweet refreshing smoothie to prepare me for the hot days to come. I haven't been posting many blogs lately and I apologize for that but I promise I'll be posting lots more soon, things have been a little busy lately. So lots of new recipes coming soon for tasty vegan treats and whatnot. This one I'm about to post just sounded good to me in my head so I took 3 simple ingredients and made an awesome smoothie with it. Hope you enjoy!

Recipe - Serves 2 to 3 people
-------------------------------------------
Juice of 4 apples (I used Organic Pink Lady Apples from Trader Joes)
3 Small Organic Bananas
About a handful or two of Organic Frozen Strawberries

And that's it! No water, no ice, & no sweeteners. Just juice the apples and add the juice along with the rest of the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. It tastes so good and amazingly sweet without any added sugars. Below is a pic I took of the rest of the smoothie in my blender, I almost forgot to take a picture and remembered last second.
